And just like that, it’s November.
(and its 70 degrees and I love it!)
November has always seemed like a forgotten month to me, well, until Thanksgiving I guess. It’s still Fall, but it’s not usually the month we think of when we think of Fall. So many people are thinking about Christmas and so are mentally not participating in November. Thanksgiving provides a day of slow paced family time, but even that day is cut short by Black Friday starting earlier and earlier.
I don’t want November to be forgotten.
A sweet lady on one of the blogging groups I’m a part of came up with a beautiful idea. She is challenging anyone who want to participate to be intentional during the month of November about noticing the little things we’re thankful for. It seems odd that the one major holiday we have that is holding on for dear life so as not to fall into the depths of consumerism is getting drowned in the want want want attitude of our culture. How beautiful would it be if we could go the opposite direction and take 30 days to focus on what we already have and what spreads smiles across our faces without us even noticing?
It would be so beautiful.
Check out more about the challenge here and use the hashtag #30daysoflittlethings all month on your social media (I’m using instagram) so we can all be a big group of happy, thankful people this month.
Thanks for stopping by!
